    Bartel + Lovell Families!

It is always fun to reunite with a bride from my past -- especially when they do not live in the state!  Danielle and Ryan purchased family portraits for their parents, and the day finally arrived for the sessions.  Since they were individual sessions, we decided to overlap them just a little bit so we could get a handful of images with both sides together!  Now these were not your traditional family portraits -- which is SUPER fun!  Danielle had some ideas (jumping), and I had some ideas (leaves), and we ended up with some hilarious images.  Enjoy the crazy pictures below, and see the slideshow here for more!

Marisa + Brett | Wedding Day

The day started off hot...I mean REALLY hot.  Humidity, and lots of sweating on my part. :)  But after the first few images with the wedding party, the clouds rolled in and gave us a cool breeze.  It sprinkled just a little bit, and we were able to get some favorite images of all time!  Marisa has the kindest spirit, and Brett is a quiet, genuine guy.  I love the way these two can be romantic one moment, and burst out in laughter the next.  I love the way they trusted me to take them to locations downtown with the wedding party.  I guess you can just say, I love these two -- and it was a wondersome time working with them on their wedding day.  Enjoy some favorites below, and TONS more in the Blogshow!

To stop from crying, Marisa employed the 'hand-waving' technique...well executed, and no make-up was harmed during this scene... :)

Could she be ANY cuter? :)

    Berkley | 1-Year Session

I believe that Kristeena has to be my record-holder for the most reschedules required prior to a shoot -- Mother Nature just decided that she did not want to cooperate for ANY of our previous dates.  But I have to say that good things come to those who wait -- we ended up with a PERFECT day.  Not blazing hot, no thundering clouds, and no SNOW.  (Yes, we have been talking since February)  Berkley had a party for One in the park, while her older sister Braelyn played with the flowers Mom brought along.  I have to say their dresses were just adorable, and Berkley had the cutest party hat I have ever seen!  SO many great images...enjoy the Blogshow...and you will be seeing more of this family in the future! :)

    Vivian + family

Vivian and I had been working through a few reschedules until we finally found a date that worked...and I could not have been happier!  She was the winner of a Portrait Session during a silent auction, so she brought her husband and daughter along for some fun images.  We had a blast downtown in the West Bottoms early in the morning, and I cannot wait to post more of these images to Facebook too.  I know her friends are waiting patiently!  Enjoy the Blogshow here!

    Isabel | 6-Month Session

The long-awaited full post of Miss Isabel -- it is finally here!  The monkey hat sneak was just the beginning.  Remember her newborn session?  I cannot say enough about how well-mannered this girl is.  We put her in a crate in the field, changed her hair styles (she has a lot of hair!) and put a monkey hat on her -- and she smiled through the whole thing!  Even at the end I had this vision of what I wanted, and she executed PERFECTLY.  Courntey (Mom) and I just looked at each other in shock when she did.  I love these guys, and feel so lucky to call them friends.  Enjoy ALL the sneaks below, and this is a SLIDESHOW you do not want to miss! :)
PS:  The blue wall, is the side of a Bail Bond/Lawyer building...again, thanks to you guys for trusting me to select unique spots!

I call this one, "Baby Gladiator"

    the "H" Family

I had never been to Wichita really -- hard to believe since I have been living in Kansas almost my entire life!  But when my friend Sarah called and asked for a family session out there, I was able to contact another friend to fly me out there!  This is an amazing family, who are very close and care so much for one another.  It was a pleasure to document the way they laugh together, and Mom did a great job scouting locations for me to use once I arrived!  I happen to love the challenge of shooting in a new place sight-unseen... :)  Enjoy their blogshow here!

    K & B | Expecting

Sunday, July 12 was the One year wedding anniversary of Kristin and Ben.  And I got to spend some of that special day with them -- because they are expecting their little one, and wanted some more images!  I am sure they had no idea that they would be welcoming a baby, but they are so happy and excited.  It is always a pleasure to stay in contact with my brides, especially when they are as sweet and fun as Kristin is!  They are waiting to find out if it is a boy or girl, but when that day arrives he/she will be joining my Baby's First year program. :)  Cannot wait -- congratulations you two.  Enjoy the blogshow!

    the veil

It was only present for the ceremony, but at the exit yesterday I grabbed this shot after it had been 'wrangled' for the limo...favorite!
