Civil War -- in Olathe?
Some of my long-time readers may recall when Dave and I went to the Civil War re-enactment last year, and I posted some images. Well this year, we actually played volleyball with one of the guys who is a part of the action! His name is also Dave, and he asked me to get some shots of his crew/friends, and some of the battle. I love using the Totally Rad Action "Old School" on these images, because it really does look vintage! Enjoy some of the shots, and I even pointed out Dave in one of them!! :)

And here is Dave again -- in the middle!

Newborn Hayden!
I have known Brian and Tricia for a long time -- I remember when they started dating, when they were engaged, the wedding, and now a FAMILY! They welcomed this cute little guy to the world a few weeks ago, and I had the honor of documenting him in his home. And FINALLY there are some WILDCAT fans! I was so happy to see some purple, and loved the little hat...this one was SO hard to pick the favorites, but here they are! And of COURSE a post is never complete without a slideshow!

And of course -- the FIRST baby of the house!! :)

Until next time!
Boy + Rain =
Downloading from this morning's shoot in the "rain" -- and HAD to post this one right now!

Mason | 1-Year Old!
1-Year is such a FUN time in the life of a little one -- they are so amazed at all the things around them, and Mason just has this amazing look of wonder in her baby-blues! She hadn't been feeling well, but you would never know it with her smiles! We also found out that Melanie (Mom) and I went to high school together. What a small world! I had a wonderful time with this family, and we may be putting together some cute party invites featuring these images. I love the song they selected as well -- the SLIDESHOW IS HERE!

Charlie's Senior Session!
We are getting so close to high school graduation right now -- so there are LOTS of seniors getting their pictures! Charlie wanted the downtown scene, and saw me when I went to speak to the photo classes at OSHS. He even has been trying out the textures -- can't wait to see some of them in action man! He also brought his girlfriend/secretary to assist with wardrobe and song-selection -- I think she did a FAB job... :) He is a Weezer fan, so ENJOY THE SLIDESHOW and have fun at Graduation!

Yes, I know there is a guy in the background -- and I decided I liked him in there... :)

Are these great shoes or what?!?!

Art Gallery
The Art Gallery has been added to -- a LOT.
For any of you who have been to my home, you know that I have a lot of framed prints in the living/dining area from our trip to London/Oxford/Prague in March 2006. Well, after a few requests my favorites from that trip have been added to the gallery! Also some picks from Eureka, and some recent stuff from the Plaza/Downtown. I have even increased the flower collection. I know it is corny, but Spring is HERE so I have been loving the flowers this season! Anyways, if you have some time, go check it out right here...or to the left there is a link in the sidebar!

Maggie's Senior Session
I love senior sessions so much -- mostly because they all want something very unique to who they are, which means I get to try new ideas, poses and post-processing -- and Maggie was perfect for this! She loves rockabilly music, and the style of vintage pin-up girls. So I wanted to give her something that reflected her awesomely unique taste! We went to Loose Park, and got some AMAZING images. Good luck at KSU (GO CATS!) next year Maggie, and enjoy your slideshow right here!

Charlie | Newborn
If you thought that Jillian was small -- meet this amazing little guy, Charlie!
Last week I drove out to meet the family at their home, since Charlie was finally allowed to leave the hospital! He is doing so well, and growing so fast. We wanted to get these pictures quick so they could remember how small he started (4 lbs. 7 ozs.)! His nursery has a really amazing window/alcove, that helped create one of my favorite shots from the session. He is the newest member of my Baby's First Year program -- so you will be able to see him grow over the next several months!! Enjoy your SLIDESHOW Katie and Eric, and see you in a few!

Stephanie + Kent + Devon
Last week I had an AMAZING time playing, jumping, yelling and running around with Miss Devon -- this girl is so beyond her 8-years I loved it! But she wasn't there alone -- her Mom Stephanie is getting married and they wanted some Engagement/Family pictures to celebrate! We went to my favorite spot downtown, and hiked all over the place for some fun locations.
I love meeting my clients all over -- but not many of them kick MY butt when we first meet! Stephanie is my Body Blast teacher at Bally's, and WOW is she amazing. I have been to a lot of aerobics classes in my time, and this is for real the only one that I have ever stuck to. She remembered my name from day one, and always challenges the class with new, fun and difficult moves. I have even surprised myself sometimes with what I can do! If you are looking for a personal trainer, she is DEFINITELY who you want to get in touch with (fitnessdiva at everestkc dot net). You will not regret it one bit -- you will THANK ME! :)
Ok -- the song has been fixed! She said "The Way I AM" and somehow I heard "The Way I ARE" by Timbaland! HA!
