Holiday Weekend!
Everyone have a wonderful fun-filled and safe holiday weekend! Dave and I are off to the lake, so I will be away from my phone AND e-mail until Monday. See you soon!
Craig + Jenna | E-Session
Engagement sessions are always a great time -- it is my chance to really get to know a couple and see how they interact. It is especially fun when those people are your friends! Craig and Jenna are getting married next May, and I get to be a GUEST at their wedding -- but of course I love to take the engagement pictures. We went downtown since these two are self-proclaimed urban-people... :) Their wedding will be pink and black, and I am sure it will be a great party. Congratulations to both of you, and enjoy your slideshow here!

Carrie & John | E-Session
Last week I met Carrie and John down on the Plaza -- it was humid and threatening rain, but you would never know it with their attitude! John is a goofball -- ok, that is a major understatement (especially if you ask Carrie). :) It was a blast, and I had a lot of fun capturing their interaction and quirks. They love coffee, so we stopped in at the coffee shop for a quick refreshment at the end. Thanks you two for being so much fun, and I look forward to the wedding with those boxer shorts... :) Enjoy their slideshow right here, even if it is not set to the song JOHN wanted...!

This week...
I am actually taking this week off from shooting -- still editing last weeks shoots, but also re-energizing for the weeks ahead of weddings and babies and boudoirs! SO many shoots coming soon... :)

1-Year Anniversary!
I cannot believe that an entire year has passed since Dave and I were married -- and I made sure to take the day off! We started out the morning cleaning out the fridge -- yes, for real -- but then we went to the Royals game! It was a gorgeous day, even if the Royals didn't give us a win... :) Since it was a special occassion we hit Cold Stone for some birthday cake ice cream, before picking out some steaks at the grocery store. We opened some wine, grilled on the back deck with our books, and ate the saved-slice of wedding cake (which was still good!). Then of COURSE I made Dave sit through our DVD's of wedding pictures. Complete with rehearsal dinner, wedding day, and honeymoon...too cheesy yet?

We have several of our wedding pictures printed and framed in the house, since Lauren Clark did a fabulous job (see our posts at the links on her name). I love you Dave, and cannot wait to celebrate many more years together!

Thoughts and Prayers...
While in England, I received some news from my couple that was supposed to be getting married tomorrow. The good news was that they just had their baby (originally due at the beginning of June) who came a little late. The bad news, William was being sent to Iraq to serve our country. The wedding was canceled, and they aren't sure when he will be returning. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers, and wish him a swift and safe return!
4-Months | Liam & Xander!
I gave you a super sneak peak of a BEYOND cute image of these two before I left for England -- and Mom and Dad have been SO patient waiting for their full feature. Well it is finally here, and the cuteness is just, well, CUTE! How can you choose just a few pictures to post on a blog when you love ALL of them? Have a random close-my-eyes-and-pick, and of course have a phenomenal slideshow right here! Song selected by Mom & Dad too -- I even got to hear Todd sing it a bit! Enjoy!

Don't ya just love those sunglasses? !
This one below is Xander...

And here is little Liam!
Next session is at 8-Months -- I cannot wait to see these two again!
Sarah & Jamie's Oxford Wedding
You have been waiting OH SO long for this post -- and for that I do apologize. The cold, the jet lag, and the catching up -- but finally we are back to the regularly scheduled program... :)
Where do I begin with this wedding? It was so special to me, and in the most beautiful location ever, I was overwhelmed! That and I only had about 15 minutes total to shoot the couple and the wedding party -- pressure huh? I love these images, and I really processed them to look a little more vintage that my usual style. Sarah's details fit this really well, and those new Totally Rad actions are just awesome! So without further verbiage...on with the images!
The girls did hair/make-up/dresses at a gorgeous home in the Oxford village. The room had beautiful windows, and everyone had drinks and laughs while they prepared for the ceremony. Sarah's dress was made by her Mother -- yes, you read that right! And her earrings were borrowed from friend/bridesmaid Jen (they are Jen's grandmother's).

Her Dad walked her down the aisle of the 700-year-old church -- it was amazing, and a great moment...
After the ceremony we had QUICK photos outside the church with the guys and girls!
I love how she used Sunflowers for the bouquets/decor -- bringing a little Kansas to England.

And of course with the couple!

I didn't shoot a lot during the reception -- but I love the way Jamie is looking at Sarah here!
WATCH THEIR SLIDESHOW HERE -- there are so many more in there that you must see!
Many of the English guests wore hats, and the seating chart for the dinner had the Americans split-up with the English so we would really get to know one another. It was great, and the day was beyond wonderful. Congratulations to the both of you -- I love you so much, and will be coming to NJ to visit!
How excited are you to see the Oxford wedding?

Being normal?
This past weekend was a rare one -- I actually was able to attend a wedding as a guest! Dave and I's niece Jamie was married to Ryan, and I got to show up approximately 12 minutes prior to the ceremony. It was definitely surreal and a lot of fun! Then Sunday I helped host a baby shower at my home for one of my greatest friends Jennifer. That means a complete weekend with no shoots, and time with family and friends. WOW! I was a normal person! :) Of course I took some pictures of Calvin at the shower -- and this week I will be posting the Twin Boys and Sarah & Jamie's wedding! Stay tuned, since I am back to shooting a lot this week!
