Beautiful Music
When Dave and I were getting married and we needed someone to provide music during the ceremony, there was no question who we were going to call. Paula has her Doctorate in Musical Arts, and has such an amazing gift! She was flawless at our wedding, and still plays for all occasions. She needed some promotional photographs, and I really wanted to provide her with something DIFFERENT than other musicians I have seen (along with some traditional stuff). So we met up at a local music shop, I setup my lighting (photo gear/explanation at the bottom of the post), and Paula provided some great music for the shoot. Enjoy some of my favorites below, and if you are ever in need of amazing talent, you can contact Paul at pneihouse AT everestkc DOT net!

Salon Allure

And here is a FUN group shot -- the salon has posters inside that are black and white of Miss Monroe and Hepburn, but their lips are red...so we did the same thing for the stylists! They all put up their best red lips all in good fun!

Above is Kendra, and below is my girl Kim!

Here is the salon's contact information!

Jennings Public Relations
Last week I got to do some shooting that is out-of-the-ordinary which is always a great change here and there! Valerie Jennings (the CEO and President) from Jennings Public Relations contacted me to let me know they needed some new images for their website. They have an amazing work space -- with great colors and furniture, along with a friendly dog named Mickey! Below are just a handful of my favorites, so keep an eye on her website!

I am told this is VERY Valerie!

We couldn't forget Mickey!

Something NEW Wedding Planners
On Sunday afternoon, I had the pleasure of photographing Jill & Ande from "Something New" wedding coordinators! They are getting their website put together (by Mark), and needed headshots and FUN images for their marketing materials. We met at Bridal Extraordinaire and were able to get some great images! These two are moving up quickly in the wedding-planning industry, and really know their stuff. So if you are looking for a great duo of planners, look no further! They are very organized, professional, and live up to their slogan of "You be the beautiful bride, and let us do the rest!"
Since I designed their logo/colors, I am able to include it in their images -- so enjoy!
They also wanted some FUN shots of the two of them -- because what happens when you put girls in a bridal salon that is closed to the public? DRESSES of course -- remember that Friends episode?? :)
Today I am shooting my first wedding of 2008, and tomorrow morning I catch a 6 AM flight (poor Dave has to take me to the airport) to the Love Affair Workshop! So I will be out of the office all week, returning e-mails and phone calls on Saturday!
Marquee Wines
The day before I left for Colorado, I had a shoot for the local Marquee Wines distributor! While I do not do a lot of commercial work, they were looking for something different than standard wine bottle images. Of course I love doing things a little different than what I normally shoot -- and we got some great marketing images from the session! Em Chamas -- a Brazilian Steakhouse -- was kind enough to let us use their beautiful restaurant as a location. And even prepared some deserts and meat for the images. Below are my favorites from the day, and HERE IS THE SLIDESHOW!
For the image below, I added some custom Textures created by Kelly Byrom -- they will be going on sale soon and I will be featuring lots of them on my blog next week!
