Engagement sessions are always a great time -- it is my chance to really get to know a couple and see how they interact.  It is especially fun when those people are your friends!  Craig and Jenna are getting married next May, and I get to be a GUEST at their wedding -- but of course I love to take the engagement pictures.  We went downtown since these two are self-proclaimed urban-people... :)  Their wedding will be pink and black, and I am sure it will be a great party.  Congratulations to both of you, and enjoy your slideshow here!

Last week I met Carrie and John down on the Plaza -- it was humid and threatening rain, but you would never know it with their attitude!  John is a goofball -- ok, that is a major understatement (especially if you ask Carrie). :)  It was a blast, and I had a lot of fun capturing their interaction and quirks.  They love coffee, so we stopped in at the coffee shop for a quick refreshment at the end.  Thanks you two for being so much fun, and I look forward to the wedding with those boxer shorts... :)  Enjoy their slideshow right here, even if it is not set to the song JOHN wanted...!

Last Wednesday I met Kerry & Kenny out at the park for their engagement session, and I was so excited because I knew how sweet these two were together.  You can really see how much they care for one another in the very subtle ways, and I wanted to capture that on their shoot!  It was hot -- poor Kenny in his jeans and long-sleeve shirt -- but he was a model, MODEL for me!  He picked Kerry up for some of the shots and did a lot of hiking -- and I think that they both ended up at the swimming pool when the shoot was done.  I knew I had to get their session online before I left, so here are some favorites and their SLIDESHOW!

 

 

Last week I had an AMAZING time playing, jumping, yelling and running around with Miss Devon -- this girl is so beyond her 8-years I loved it!  But she wasn't there alone -- her Mom Stephanie is getting married and they wanted some Engagement/Family pictures to celebrate!  We went to my favorite spot downtown, and hiked all over the place for some fun locations. 

I love meeting my clients all over -- but not many of them kick MY butt when we first meet!  Stephanie is my Body Blast teacher at Bally's, and WOW is she amazing.  I have been to a lot of aerobics classes in my time, and this is for real the only one that I have ever stuck to.  She remembered my name from day one, and always challenges the class with new, fun and difficult moves.  I have even surprised myself sometimes with what I can do!  If you are looking for a personal trainer, she is DEFINITELY who you want to get in touch with (fitnessdiva at everestkc dot net).  You will not regret it one bit -- you will THANK ME! :)

Sunday afternoon I had two portrait sessions -- and the first was with a really great couple, Jenni & Jeff!  They even brough their dog Ronin along for some of the shots -- but I think he was more interested in the other dogs at the park than smiling for my camera... :)  We started casual at the park, and then headed to the Plaza for some more formal and unique images!  I have a favorite, and it is the motion-image below!  Enjoy their SLIDESHOW HERE, and great job holding still for that last image guys!!

Katie is my fantastic niece, and last weekend I got to photograph her on the family farm.  I love when locations have meaning, AND this one was gorgeous!  We had beautiful barns, fields of yellow grass, and got to walk all over the property!  Their wedding is the 1st of November, and we are SO excited!!  I had a hard time picking just a few for the slideshow -- and they were willing to try everything that popped into my head (which can get crazy sometimes)...so enjoy their SLIDESHOW set to their song, and favorites below!

I am sure that you all remember the proposal that I photographed at the park -- this is my great friend Sarah and her fiance Jamie!  I will be photographing their wedding in Oxford, England this June, and I cannot wait to see this amazing stone chapel!  Not to mention the bridesmaids will have Wellies on for part of the pictures!
This weekend was a couples-wedding shower, and I grabbed them for about 20 minutes for a quick engagement session across the street.  Sarah definitely has a unique style, and I wanted these pictures to really fit who she is, and who they are as a couple.  Their love is SO apparent, and the way they smile with one another is priceless.  I hope you can see it as much as I can!  They are moving to New Jersey after the wedding, so they chose a song that fit...see the slideshow right here!

When I called William and Danielle to confirm our portrait session for their engagement images -- they let me know the good news that she was EXPECTING!  They found out shortly after they booked with me, and even though she is due just 3 weeks before the wedding she was not changing her date!  Now this isn't a type-o right here -- she is EIGHT MONTHS pregnant!!  I only hope that I look half as great as she does...wow!  Anyways, their wedding is at the end of June, and I am so excited to see these two joined together.  Not that they aren't already, if you couldn't tell by the way they look at one another below... :)  They wanted to use the song that will be their first dance for the slideshow -- so ENJOY THAT RIGHT HERE!

Before Christmas, we had a very brief day of gorgeous weather -- and how perfect that it fell on the day of Heather and Tim's engagement shoot!  This couple was SO much fun, and laughter that they shared was so contagious!  Tim could make Heather laugh like you wouldn't believe, and the love in Tim's eyes when he looked at her -- made my job so easy!  They wanted something different for their pictures, and the art district downtown proved to be the perfect setting.  They also chose a great song that meant a lot to them, so here is the SLIDESHOW!
